It sounds like there's something about that specific adaptor the DS
doesn't like. It may not be fitting on the shoe correctly.
I agree with that assessment. I fitted a Wein Safe Sync and triggered
one of my old flash units with it connected through the PC socket.
Works the same as the Sunpak 383.
