A custom function can be set to switch between .5 and .3 stop steps
for both aperture and shutter speed.
As PJ said, in Tv and Av exposure mode, aperture and shutter speed
respectively seem to be stepless but the camera only reports the
settings at the values the step setting allows. The step setting also
affects exposure compensation control settings.
