Looking at the 5n viewfinder (also applies to the DS), there is a little (minus) on the right edge of the slider and a little (plus) on the left edge of the slider. Since I need near-sighted correction (i.e., negative diopters), I push the slider all the way to the right when I am not wearing my glasses.
