Go ahead and gloat a little, Fred, I'm sure it feels good, and I don't
mind.

I think the way FedEx works is that the shipper paid for delivery in X
number of days, and FedEx just won't deliver it before then. I've had the
same issue with UPS. Having someone bothering the crew at the distribution
center probably upsets their routine. So, I'll wait and you can enjoy an
extra day of gloat time ;-))

I've been using Patsy's 5n and generally the AF is fine. In some
situations it's a PITA though. However, after installing some fresh
batteries, the AF seemed to perk up a bit. If you really want to
experience fast AF, just hook up the camera to your car battery. Wow and
Yeeha! Unfortunately, doing that requires a delicate touch, which I
learned after the lens blew the front elements across the room.

On a more serious note, the 5n finder has enough correction to allow me to
focus without wearing my glasses. It would be great if the DS allowed that
as well.

Well, keep on enjoying that camera, and post more of your thoughts and
experiences. You've got less than 48-hours of gloat time left. use it
wisely <LOL>
