On 3/9/05, Shel Belinkoff, discombobulated, unleashed: >A friend of mine, a Leica user, has used a black Sharpie to fill in the >lettering on the beauty ring of some of his Leica lenses. There was also a run of M6 bodies that had >neither the red dot nor the Leica name on the front of the top plate. It >just said M6. > >However, apart from any other considerations, some people just don't like >advertising the products they use.
Don't you nutters, er guys get bored of explaining to when they ask why your camera has no name on the front? If I see a camera used on TV or in a movie with the name blanked out, I know right away why they've done it, but it instantly draws my attention to it.
