I've heard this lens has some sort of problem. How bad is it? What
sort of problem?
This is one of the Pentax manual focus lenses. I'm hoping it might
be a cheap, but still useable option for my *istDS.
The Takumar (K-Bayonet) 135mm f/2.5 is a single coated lens. It's not
particularly sharp wide open, but at f/8 or smaller apertures it is
quite decent. I did a small set of test images comparing it with the
FA135/2.8 which I bought to replace it.

Is the FA135/2.8 a better lens? Definitely. Was the Takumar 135/2.5
worth the $27 I paid for it. Definitely.
