Hi Fred, I was thinking of it for use in the DS, and as there are a number of other 50's here at Casa Belinkoff, this would be an addition to the group, not replacing any other lenses. I've been happy with the performance of the M50/1.7 - especially like its smaller size/weight compared to the M50/1.4 at times - might be a nice choice for the DS, especially in the price/performance ratio.
