Ok, thanks for the feedback. Have you specifically found ANY pair of OUTSTANDING lenses that you could see a difference between the two on fine grain BW film but the istD was unable to resolve the that difference? I say this because I am specifically concerned about its ability to resolve the differences between the finest lenses out there, not just see differences between excellent, good, and fair lenses... jco

I've compared several lenses in the same focal range but different levels of quality and the results speak for themselves. I'm about to undertake a more substantial project with another PDML member to document lens characteristics of various lenses. rg
