I am only responding to these lame
attempts to somehow "prove" that Pentax's
decision **wasn't*** a screwing of not just
me but millions of other pentax customers..
And if you are conceding that Pentax has
indeed screwed their customers, what exactly
makes you think you wont be next in line???

I sold my *ist D and have a Canon 20D :-)
(But the K/M support wasn't a reason for switching)

That's why I am so riled by this. Their
credibility and trustworthyness is gone forever
unless and until they do something to prove
otherwise...

I'm taking bets: Who wants to bet me that Pentax WILL support K/M lenses with the lever-thingy (I'm not a technical person) on their next high-end DSLR? I don't believe they will. They have layed their cards on the table.

I understand you're upset by Pentax's behavior in this regard. I'm not upset about the K/M green button support thing, but they lost my trust and support when they keep releasing downgaded DSLRs and discontinue or make it impossible to find/buy quality lenses. Lenses I'm willing to buy from Canon.

But again, I've moved on. I still think the LX was a fantastic product (I named my daughter "Alex" after the camera - don't tell my wife!) and every Pentax lens I've used was equal or better than the current lenses in my Canon kit. I think their P&S digicams are interesting and innovative (I own 2) and hope the company survives long into the future.

I think you, JCO, need to accept that they've screwed you (since you feel they have), and move on. It is not your responsibility to prove to the list that it was or wasn't a screwing.

Why is that so hard for you to understand???

Why is it so hard for you to accept that Pentax has f***ed you in the ass
and move on? Face it, and I know other pdmlers have already stated this,
it's a goddam conspiracy for Pentax to sell new lenses! Nikon did it
already and Pentax saw an opportunity to follow their lead.

Move the F*** on already.
