Whos being RIDICULOUS? - you are. See the recent posts showing pentax K/M lens production at over 9 MILLION units sold to customers. PENTAX, if they have made this decision as permanent and forever, has just decided to not support key fuctions on MILLIONS of lenses in the field without any compatability issues whatsoever...
Because of the great build quality of these lenses I would say the vast majority of them are still in service too. they are both durable and reliable in my experience. I have seen hardly any that were "worn out" and I have seen a lot of them over the years and recently too. JCO See pals recent post quoting over 9 MILLION K/M lenses bought by customers and I bet most of them are still in service because they are high quality long lasting reliable lenses... -----Original Message----- From: John Francis [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Tue, Sep 20, 2005 at 10:37:59AM -0400, Christian wrote: > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "J. How ridiculous. "Millions"? I doubt if the number of potential customers who care enough about the issue to even *consider* the lack of an aperture simulation coupler, let alone have it be the critical factor in their decision to buy (or not to buy) even gets into the hundreds.
