Physical inspection of the hot shoe looks fine, the flash works fine
on other *istD bodies. The hardware has lasted fine, but the downtime
of constantly having at least one body in for repairs is frustrating.
If this extrapolates to any future release of MF style cameras this
will make them next to useless in the Pro range. I cant imagine having
to buy extra MF bodies just because an extra or 2 is needed to deal with
software failures.

Do Pentax have any guarantee on how many shots a DSLR should last?

Kind regards
Kevin
