Please note, the question does not address focus feel of the lens, just whether manual focus lenses (in general) are easier to focus manually than autofocus lenses, are auto focus lenses easier to focus than manual focus lenses, or does it make a difference one way or the other? Respond in confidence to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the subject line: "It's time for a poll" I'll tally the results. William Robb ============ It really depends on the lens. I have had manual focus lenses that are easy to focus manually, and auto focus lenses that were also easy to focus manually. It depends, I think, if the lens designer made an auto focus lens so it could be focused easily manually. Some auto focus lenses were not made really to be done manually. Although they allow that option. So one has to read reviews and/or preview the lens if one cares about that. What my problem is, on auto focus cameras, is that I don't have that little focusing circle in the viewfinder. I have found that much more of a deterrent to manual focusing than anything else.
