I have no experience with the 200 f4 but the 35 is a little gem that I have a copy of, and the 100mm macro is another lens that used
to be on my wish list.

Hi P.J.
any opinions on other "worthy" M42 screw mount Pentax lenses like:
I could maybe get an SMC Takumar 35mm F3.5 or a SMC Takumar 200 F4 or a
100mm Macro F4 from the same seller, all in good condition for nearly the
same price or a bit lower each.

I don't know how rare the M42-->Kmount adapters are, I have two of them at
the moment.
But maybe a nice Spotmatic would feel even better...

greetings
Markus

You got a great deal. I've usually seen it go for about twice that or
more. When I was first looking a few years
ago $200 was often a starting price for a good specimen. I've got a M
85 f2.0 now and couldn't justify having both.
The M is just such a sweet compliment to the *ist-D, and much sharper
than you would think from the reputation it has.

Hi P.J.
is that lens so rare or so expensive where you live?
I saw it for the first time here on a local auction and got it for around
$100 after bidding in the last minutes against one other bidder.

If you don't expect the latest bells and whistles, you should be more
than pleased with it. It's one that
I've always wanted, but couldn't afford.

Hi P.J.
thanks for your answer, I should soon have the lens.
I will use it for portraits so manual handling does not matter for me.
