I use both, interchangeably.

That doesn't mean I change them from one socket to the other. Oh, no. That
would probably give me a headache.

I always used to use my left eye until I bought a Leica M. The viewfinder is
on the extreme left, so it's more difficult to use the camera with the left
eye. So I developed the habit of using the right eye, so now I'm sometimes
stuck for choice.

The reason I heard for using the right eye is that you can wind on without
taking the camera from your eye. I've found this to be true, and useful. Of
course nowadays most cameras wind themselves on, so it's not so relevant.
