Interesting one this, I have always used my left eye. Then I started
operating video cameras, and that has to be done (for all intents and
purposes) with the right eye (when shooting handheld), and so I use the
right eye for TV work. But I still use the left eye for stills.

I'm looking down the viewfinder for a couple of hours a day, and after 15
years my right eye is definitely weaker than the left. I use the left
whenever on the tripod, to try to balance things out. I go to the
optician once a year and so far no problems. I just hope it can hold out
for another 20 years or so......
