I have several sites and my own dedicated server. This is not typical but my
photography site uses about 6.5M, although the images are stored in a database
so more room is taken up there, another 6 meg. The images are low res to keep
size down and to stop folks from duplicating them.

.com is the american 'standard' that most folk use, but has mostly been over-run
by domain nazi's that purchase domains just to resell them. I have a
.net
.com
.org
.com.au
domains and there is really no difference so long as people know you're there.

dont put your email address on the site, use a form that emails you from
php or perl.

shockingshel.com is available ;)
Depending on what you want to say. gone are the days where you could get a
reasonable one word name, but, if you dont mind using .biz you could
go for shel.biz

Kind regards
