I realize that now but of course in the fleeting moment I wasn't able to direct the little bastards where to fly! :-) The camera was set in Av or M with f11 on purpose to try to eek out DOF while the birds were on the beach. There were several hunderd of them in a tight group and I was trying to get a tight group shot. Those images all sucked. But when they all took off all of a sudden I had no choice but to press the shutter release on instinct....
