Hi everyone,
There was the recent equinox synchronicity shoot which was launched with
precious little advance notice, and many people unfortunately did not get
the chance to participate.
I liked the concept behind the synchronicity shoot very much, and I would
like to arrange another shoot which would be very similar. This time, there
should be plenty of time to have your camera ready, and plenty of time to
shoot some interesting pictures.
I suggest we do a Halloween synchronicity shoot (the evening of October
31st). This evening, almost more than any other, should provide ample
opportunity for capturing colorful and interesting images. Even in those
parts of the world where Halloween isn't celebrated, there is still the
chance to participate, by documenting what is happening in your part of the
world on the evening of October 31st. In fact, those sorts of images might
prove to be a very valuable source of contrast to the more typical and
obvious "Halloween event" images.
As for deciding on the exact hours for picture taking, I suggest we allow
for submissions made between dusk of October 31st, and the dawn of November
1st, based on the participant's local time zone. The subject matter can be
Halloween itself, or something totally unrelated -- whatever the
photographer felt was the most interesting or significant image they took
during that period.
I think this could be a VERY fun project. Is anyone else interested?
thanks,
Glen
