Actually, the second two look soft to me. I still don't know how to make decent jpegs from RAW. Because the originals are sharp (in focus looking). The resulting jpegs are not. Obviously I should apply more sharpening or something after I resize them. But I still haven't figured that out.

Marnie, when I am done editing the image in the full size I usually do the following.

1. Resize it to whatever size I like. Generally it is order of 700 pixels for landscape and 650 pixels for portrait oriented images.

2. Then I do the same trick just always. I do a high pass sharpening with 0.5 radius (or whatever is the same of the parameter) and then set the layer mode to Vivid Light. Then I would play with opacity of the sharpening image until I get a result which is sharper than without this layer, yet without any visible sharpening halos.

Usually it does the trick.
