Yes. I would like to see the image size increased. The too small size hurts some entries.
The image size requirements were put in place for a variety of reasons. We considered bandwidth and storage space to be very important. At the time, we were generating about 5 gigs of transfers a month, and we wanted to keep server loading down as much as possible. We also had to consider storage space, and future loading. When the PUG was approaching a hundred images a month, a person on a dial up connection had quite a task ahead of them if they wanted to view the entire gallery.
At the moment, the PUG appears to be taking up some 3 gigs of space on the Komkon server. We were also aware that we were showcasing some very nice photography, and wanted to keep unauthorized image usage and image theft to a minimum, be keeping the images on the small side. We did encourage people to put larger versions onto their own website with links on their image page if they wanted to post a larger image.
