If it is this pin on the lens getting stuck on the cut-out in the adapter... then the worst a "brute force" approach would be likely to do would be to damage the lens, don't you think? (Best done with the lens pointing downward so that any debris doesn't fall into the camera body.) BTW: Dave got onto the PDML to ask this question after he found my web site (via a search engine, I'd guess) and *telephoning* me from the UK!
