Based on the feedback I've got so far:
Fixes for PUG 2005-10-16
==========================
Back/next buttons behave erratically in some cases.
(Patrice Lacoutre)
When reaching the last image in the gallery, the Next-link brings up the
same image. This is intended.
When clicking the Back-link from any image in the Open section, it goes
to the last image in the Themed section. This is now fixed. Clicking the
back-link should now bring you to the previous image as expected.
Apostrophs are incorrectly shown as "'":
(Jostein)
When text goes into the database, this character has to be encoded to
avoid screwing up the SQL sentences. In the import script,
this was accidentally done twice, which lead to incorrect rendering
when fetching the data from the database. This is fixed now, but
users are still adviced to check if their submissions are OK.
Star Trek font:
(Cotty)
Could be that the "Themed Section" and "Open section" headings are a
bit too prominent, especially for viewers with low screen resolutions.
I will keep the font until someone pass me a better suggestion, but will
look into reducing the size. :-)
Problems with FireFox:
Peter J. Alling: Photographer search fails with v. 1.0.4
Tom Reese reports the same to work in 1.0.7.
The problem seems to be that Firefox fails to deliver the
selected photographer's name to the search field.
Boris: The Select Gallery button doesn't work in 1.5 Beta 2.
If I have understood these problems correctly, they both concern new windows
opened by Javascript. I will have to look more closely at the Javascript
support in Firefox.
Explain the PUG abbreviation on individual-image pages.
(Jens Bladt)
This is a good idea. I have put it on the TODO list.
Next/Previous arrows in image view:
(Boris and Jens)
Suggestion to put these above the image rather than below, to make it
possible to navigate without scrolling.
Also put on the TODO list. This one should be easy...:-)
Poor language:
John Forbes has kindly pointed out some phrases where my
English particularly sucks. :-)
I really appreciate this sort of help too. It is definately needed.
Thanks to everyone who have looked at the pages, and thanks even more to
all of you who provided comments. Keep'em coming!
So far, I have only a small select team of testers. There's room for more.
I have not responded individually to the testers yet, but it's coming.
Right now I need some more coffee. :-)
Jostein
