Before getting into the main subject of this
thread, Let me point out that
my visit to chez Robb was not in the least boring,
nor was he nor was
his lively wife or his friendly Rotties. So
there.... I had a great time
in Regina.

Re the digital stuff... Mark Roberts, you have to
dig up a quote - someone
here predicted I'd go digital within a year while
I wildly protested - that
was , um about 2 years ago. I have gone digital,
partly to save money partly
to get with the program, so to speak. I wish I
could afford the best of the
digital equipment - but I'll have to limp along
with my Canon PRo-1 - which
at least feels like a "real" camera and is light
enough for me to hold and
mostly keep steady.

I need to learn lots more about post processing,
which includes being more patient with
it. I do want to keep concentrating on getting it
right in the field, but sometimes
one captures something that is worth showing and
things get in the way.

Paul already taught me stuff in just a couple of
hours in front of his computer
when I visited and his techno knowledge is pretty
damn impressive, I'd say.

I'm not giving up my Lx, KX or my Pentax glass,
though - and I've got hundreds
of negs and slides that I can dig through to put
stuff on PUG :)
