Two seconds may not be enough for microscope shots. I've had a
private email exchange with Herb recently where he suggests that a
period longer than 2 seconds would provide sharper pictures when
using very long focal lenghts. And if I understand it right, 2000 mm
is equivalent to a 40X magnification.
Pentax could easily allow for a longer period with a software
modification. But they are working for 99% of users, who don't need
it. We need a Pentaxian hacker...
