For those of you who have all the *ist D's, is there a consensus that one is any better than the other?
What is there, the original *istD, the DL, the DS & DS2, any more?
If you were buying today, would you choose one over the others? And why?

I know a few people who have both a D and a DS. Some like the D more, some like the DS more, others don't care.

I played with the D in the store at the same time I was choosing which one to buy and chose the DS ... both because I liked the feel and controls more, and because it was half the price. Going to buy a second body, I thought long and hard about getting a D and stuck with the DS. Why? It does the job, I don't have to deal with card interchangeability issues, and it remains just fine for my use.

The DS2 is very much the same as the DS far as I can tell so far, just a larger LCD and some incremental changes in menu bits.

The DL has a less expensive viewfinder and less sophisticated AF system, other changes that are similar to what the DS2 has. I haven't heard anyone that I can think of complaining about the viewfinder or AF.
