As an example, the Homeland Security goons are pressuring Ottawa for
personal information to be released to them regarding people who work for,
or do business with American companies within Canada.
If they manage to force this on the Canadian government (so far, Paul Martin
is being a stand up guy for us), I expect about half the Canadian workforce
will be at jeopardy of having a foreign government in possession of whatever
personal information they want.
In a nutshell, they want the nefarious and intrusive laws they have passed
in your country to be enforced in my country.
So what makes you think that a border allows someone to not worry?
