Yes, for that type of application, NIMH is excellent. However, for my use, 
they're far too troublesome and unpredictable. I use two cameras with battery 
grips and sometimes go close to a week without shooting. If I were using NIMH, 
I'd have to recharge all sixteen batteries almost every time I shoot. With AA 
lithium, I know I can shoot on a moment's notice, and I can be sure that I'll 
get 2000 shots with every set of batteries. I think I paid only a little more 
than a buck a battery for my last set from Battery Central.
