Really? Is this supposition on your part or is your opinion based on some facts. I'd love to know as I've priced and paid for a good optical rangefinder recently, and it wasn't cheap, costing more than many entire cameras.
Look through an electronic viewfinder some time, and imagine how much it would cost to make it as good as even a cheap optical finder.......
