Sorry, but I thought if I didn't put "Texas" into the subject line, this
message might not get noticed. ;)
Is anyone interested in doing a Halloween project? This would be similar to
the recent synchronicity project, in the sense that everyone would be
shooting during the same time period. For those people living in countries
that do not observe a Halloween tradition, you can still submit a photo
that illustrates what happened in your area on October 31st. That might
make a good counterbalance to all the Halloween photos.
I feel that Halloween it perhaps the most colorful and unusual holiday in
existence. Surely, everyone can find something interesting to photograph on
Halloween? The street photographers on this list should especially have a
great time participating.
For those people who live in an area which celebrates "trick or treat" on a
slightly different night (to fit weekend schedules, etc) you can feel free
to photograph on that night, if you wish. Likewise, if you attend a
Halloween party which is held on a night other than Halloween, feel free to
submit pictures from that night, if you wish. I would prefer the photos be
taken at night, no matter which night you choose to observe your Halloween
activities on, but even that isn't carved into stone. If you have a very
interesting Halloween themed image taken in daytime, feel free to contribute.
I had mentioned this idea before, but I thought I would remind everyone.
I'll probably post another reminder before Halloween arrives. If you are
interested, please speak up. It encourages others to participate, and
insures the success of the project.
thanks,
Glen
