I have plenty of speed but too little
memory I think. The brand new CS I have
won't load.

What did you need to do to get CS to run?
Simple,
an infusion of around $700 USD to Dell. I had to replace my 6 year old
internet machine (I have a separate PC, for PS only, even older that
will be replaced next). I basically got a bottom of the line Dell
machine and maxed out the memory. The processor, I believe was the
limitation on the old machine, I now have a Pentium 4 @2.8ghz.
Runs fine.
It's just like auto racing - "how fast do you want to go - how much
money do you have?
Still, hard to objectively reconcile the added cost with the increase
speed (of the PC).

I finally upgraded one of my PCs to where I can run PS CS2. I'll now
be shooting RAW & was wondering if any of the PS guru's here have any
comments on the *istD camera profile in ACR 3.0 or 2.4.
Do you use the default settings in PS or what?
