Don't tell that to all the pro shooter using Hasselblad's with digital backs. Medium format has by no means been abandoned. Expect to see more. A lot of the car shooters who used to work in 4x5 are now working in MF digital. Some of course are still working in large format with digital backs. Very few are going to lay those cameras down for 35mm with less than 20 megapixels and a lot more noise.
