Generally speaking, Kodak sensors are behind Canon and Sony. The 4/3
system performs rather badly about noise control. OK, it's smaller than
APS. But the Kodak 14MP FF SLR delivered lower quality than the Canon 11MP
FF SLR, so why do you expect the 18MP Kodak to be better than the 16MP
from Canon?
Don't misunderstand me. I'd love to see the 645D to outperform well the 1Ds
MkII, but I simply don't expect that.
However, I agree that when it comes to expectations, everything can be true
or wrong.
When the 645D will show up (and I'm convinced it will, sooner or later),
we'll check its performance and we'll see if Canon won't have a 20+MP FF
camera around half its price to compare to.
