Thanks for putting together that set of tests, interesting indeed, confirms what we've heard here anecdotally. It goes to show that really the camera resolution is the quality limiting factor in the case of the primes and the zooms really don't get near the apparent quality of the primes until mid apertures. The overall contrast differences are is interesting though, not quite as predictable though the larger the maximum aperture generally the poorer the contrast. The aliasing effects are interesting at 35mm too.
