According to "official" Pentax terminology (as embossed on the lenses
themselves), there never has been a line of K lenses. The K-mount lenses
before the M line appeared were simply called SMC lenses. To call these
pre-M K-mount lenses "K lenses" is strictly an informal PDML-style
convention. I would say that "K lenses" could easily refer to all K-mount
lenses, 1975 to the present. I think that the "K" usage should be clear in
context.
