That's the same reason why I had to keep my old PC around. SCSI-on-a- budget is virtually impossible on a modern Mac.
The Adaptec 2906 card from my PC won't fit (different versions of PCI), USB2Xchange doesn't support Mac, and I hear other USB/SCSI adaptors can be a bit of a gamble with scanners.
