Brilliant, it's often difficult to make an image that's essentially a technical record great to look at too. The exposure is excellent, there aren't any areas inside the pods in deep shadow and the texture of the seeds is clearly visible. I don't believe the image is significantly over-sharpened. Greater DOF would have been nice but in this case probably the only practical way to secure it would have been to bracket focus using a rail then to blend the images, however it's a bit tedious because the magnification has to be altered for each layer and the masking has to be done pretty much by hand. The only other thing that may have given the image a little more impact would be to control the illumination such that the background was a little more in shadow. It's a great image as is though, keep 'em coming.
