I was going to say similar.

I've only ever sold three piece of gear I have purchased.

ME Super
Bogen 3-way Head
Primefilm Scanner

Well I just went and looked up the word invest, out of curioisity and most popular definitions come with the sense of 'putting money into with the expectation of making a profit', though there is at least one with a definition meaning simply 'to spend'. I was using it in the last sense, though I guess from a more fiduciary standpoint 'investment' is the wrong terminology.

Again, camera equipment is not an investment. It's a tool purchase, a capital asset.

That really is dependant on the buyer.
