Hi!

Time to clean the sensor in the DS ... locked up the mirror and saw the
sensor thingy. It looks like there's a plastic layer over the actual pixel
things. Correct? Is that particularly delicate or is it for protection,
and, therefore, of a durable nature?

I was thinking of using a blower brush with the brush bristles removed. Is
that OK? Any other suggestions?

Shel, I have a suggestion which is related to your question only indirectly. When you switch lenses I (humbly) suggest you turn off the camera... I started doing it about a month ago. I should say that it does indeed reduce the amount of dust your sensor may be collecting. It did for me... And I change the lenses outdoors at least half of the time.
