I haven't seen it yet, but have been appalled at Pentax's other manuals
- obvious translations from Japanese, by someone not very good at
English. I assume that this problem occurs also in manuals in other
languages.

After so many decades in world markets, you'd think they'd stumble upon
hiring a native speaker of a language to write the manual.

Reminds me of the time I took a Danish-made satellite telephone to the
field in Mali. The manual was a classic of the genre. It was
unintelligible, and obviously written by the same technicians who
designed the device. Then, it appears, they sent the manual to Japan to
be translated from Danish to English.
