Whatever ;-)

Their prosumer cameras all have different controls to drive a
pro crazy. What's the point of having e.g. a 5D as a backup body to
1DsII when they have completely different controls?

How is the control layout different from the 5D, 20D, 1D(s)(II)(n)?

all have one small wheelie thingy in the front and one large wheelie thingy in the back and a little push-button thingy to trip the shutter.... Perhaps you are referring to menu differences.... Personally, I found it easy to go from the *ist D, to the 20D and then a 1DII (borrowed). Maybe it's me, but camera controls (those necessary to actually take a picture (aperture, shutterspeed, even ISO and WB) seem very intuitive.

The cameras that drive me nuts are the ones with only one wheelie thingy: RebelD, RebelXT, *ist Ds(2) and *ist DL.

(I have no experience with Nikon except the D100 which has two wheelie thingies)
