not that i want to beat a dead horse (well, i guess i do, but what the
hell...<g>), but censorship is a person or body in authority telling
another what they can or can't say, such that the latter feels
compelled by threat of sanction (explicit or implied) to comply.

i'm not talking about that.  i'm talking about an entity taking it
upon themselves to act in a socially responsible matter.

that ain't censorship, by any standard.

I Canada, at least, we definitely have censorship when it comes to sex crimes, anyway. It is legal, and personally, I think it is encouraged, to publish the names of men charged with a sex crime, but under the rape-shield law, the name of the complainant is never released to the press, even if the complaint is proven to have never happened.
