Peter, we're now straying into military matters, which is a subject I
don't claim to know anything about (sighs of relief all round). You have
stimulated me to look at a few statistics, and I have to say I am
astonished at the size and growth of China's armed forces and military
spending. Is it because they fear their neighbours, or fear America?
