>And I'd say the investigation is over. You never know. A long time ago my Shelby GT350 was stolen in Dearborn. When the cops arrived, they immediately told me I'd probably never see that car again. The car remains (5 body panels) were found 5 days after being stolen, in a field near Flat Rock Speedway. Several weeks later I was summoned to a garage to identify the engine from my vehicle.
If your vehicle is found you probably won't want it. In my case, because my vehicle was found so quickly, within 2 weeks of loss, I had the insurance settlement check. What are you going to replace it with? Kenneth Waller -----Original Message----- From: Paul Stenquist <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: Stranded in Chi-Town Thanks Ken. I doubt that the valet was involved. He was just out of touch and overworked. But one never knows. And I'd say the investigation is over. I think the police just tend to give up immediately on auto theft cases. By the time they get it on the hot sheet, it's in a chop shop.
