I disagree quite strongly with this, Cotty. If we are within our rights
there should be no need to get round the restrictions by underhand methods
or my asking for permission - the restrictions shouldn't be there, and
interfering busybodies should keep their noses out of other people's
business. 

I know you're in a different situation to the rest of us in that you must do
whatever you can pragmatically, rather than stand up for your rights but
miss the story. In general though we would be letting the bastards get away
with it if we took the approaches you recommend.
