I humbly accept the compliments from Cotty, Frank, John, Ern, Mark, M.A. and you Marnie.
It's very exiting with all these positive comments. BTW: I have found one irritating detail, a light spot at the left edge of frame. If I print it out, I will try cloning it away. Marnie. Your frankly remark made me think. The Sushi picture was not serious, not at all. It was simply a brief snap that I decided to submit for fun. But you are onto something. It goes a bit deeper than that. Many other of my submitted pictures are a bit so and so. The Fadista picture is probably one of my best shots. What I've been thinking about is why this picture is so much better than my regular stuff. I believe it is because that concert photo is where my heart is. There is something with the moods concerts sets me in. There is the music, and there is the light. I believe that I'm photographing with my brain when photographing other motifs, but with my heart and soul when photographing concerts. So. What do I do with this knowledge about myself and my photography? Nothing really. I'll keep on doing other genres. Hopefully I'll gradually stop using my brain, and start shooting on instincts. Some may see a joke or two here, me using my brain... ;-) Ok. Enough ranting. Thanks again, folks.
