We have only ourselves to blame if we don't object to this nonsense. Everyday millions of hours of children's TV is broadcast around the world full of images of children. Why can't this be banned. Then we could move on to adult TV programmes whch have children in them.
Unfortunately amateur photographers just represent a far easier target than Rupert Murdoch and large TV corporations. If we could afford to go round with security and legal teams, the police would not be interested in our activities.
