Thanks for commenting Bruce. I think it's flatness of the light that actually gives it a sort of flatness or painting-like effect. I liked the fact that it doesn't look quite like a photograph.

I did shoot in RAW and did bring up the shadows just a bit so that the foreground was slightly lighter instead of being a dark greenish-black.

Hello Tom,

Mixed feelings on this one.  I like the composition very much.  The
place that I am mixed on is the muted look.  On one hand it let's some
subtleties through that are nice.  On the other hand, it sort of makes
the entire picture feel a bit weak.

Looks to be a beautiful area and I think this shot warrants some
working to come up with the best overall presentation - as it stands
for me, it is close, but not quite there.  It could end up as an
outstanding photo.  Hopefully you took it in raw so that you have some
working room.
