Marnie, don't use ANY background, just leave the cover off... the ambient light in the room will make a nice smooth dark background. plastic garbage bag would be bad, too much reflection... the ziplock bag I used for the tiles was just to keep them from spilling... not for a background. I have also placed a piece of white styrofoam above what I was shooting and occasionally pieces of colored paper or something on "stilts" of whatever was around to keep it totally out of focus. play around with it... it's kinda fun ann
