Supposedly we should be expecting an announcement in Q1 2006 for the first PenSung DSLR.

Am just now agonizing over making the same jump (equipment and all). To
me, its a feeling that must be akin to getting a divorce.
I've sold some MF stuff and have offers sufficient on other equip. to
allow me to pick up the D200 and, maybe, a D50 back-up. If I don't
receive some Pentax signal about a new tempting release that will
likely happen.
Best of luck with your choice!

Today you may give thanks for the new Pentax DSLR To Come.
I sold all my Pentax equipment and purchased a Nikon's D200,
SB-800, grip and 5 lenses.
This guarantees that Pentax will now release a new "pro" DSLR.

Why did I sell. Got tired of lenses that didn't quite meet my
needs. My *istD and DS served me well, but the Nikon glass meets my needs for larger aperatures in fewer lenses without going to Sigma or Tamron.

I figured out that the 10.5 F2.8; 12-24 F4; 17-55/2.8; and 105/2.5 micro served me well indoors and out. The 18-200 VR made a great one lens solution. Yes you can use the 10 Sigma, Tamron and Pentax glass to do the same.

And finally that D200 body. Fast, sure, no lags, Nikon color
metering, batteries that give you 1800 shots and that great exposure database. It was time for a change.

All that should guarantee that Pentax will now join with Samsung
and blow the Nikon D200 and Canon 5D away. You're welcome, guys. I did it

for you.

Why not the Canon 5D? I don't like the fetel of any Canon out
there. I had the dough so why not go back to my original camera system (1970).

Sadly, I leave Pentax. For he price, unbeatable, but I do a lot of press (assembly district) and need faster response. Also better color

light metering.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas,
Happy Chanukah, Great Quanza and the healthiest, happiest New Year to all.
 Burt
