A lot of photographers have someone else do their post-processing. They're probably more likely to direct adjustments from proof prints, rather than stand over the shoulder of the person doing the processing.
One time Ron Dunnett made the trip from Vancouver to Regina so that he could watch over my shoulder as we printed a show that he was putting on.
